I am working on behalf of a growing, independent Hospice agency in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They are looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially minded Executive Director to take ownership of the operation and help grow the business from its current position of around 30 patients to 80–100+ patients.

The role:
- Overall Leadership: Take ownership of the clinical, operational, financial and regulatory performance of the Hospice.
- Business Growth: Lead the growth of the agency, with responsibility for increasing census from approximately 30 patients toward 80–100+ patients.
- Commercial Leadership: Develop strong relationships across the healthcare community, including hospitals, SNFs, physicians and ALFs, to drive sustainable referral growth.
- Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Hospice, working closely with the wider team to ensure the agency has the structure and processes required to scale.
- Financial Performance: Take ownership of P&L, productivity, staffing and operational performance, with the opportunity for compensation to be linked to EBITDA and business performance.
- Clinical & Quality: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant Hospice care and maintain strong clinical and quality outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain survey readiness and ensure compliance with Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation and Texas HCSSA requirements.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, retain and develop the team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
Required competencies:
- Current RN license in the state of Texas – Preferred
- Strong understanding of Medicare Hospice regulations and Conditions of Participation
- Must have experience running a successful Hospice Branch
- Experience with Hospice operations, census growth and quality
