Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to handle retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product questions, product demos, and upselling items to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain store appearance through stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and ensuring inventory is organized and accessible.
- Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone.
- Support supervising staff by helping with daily store operations and ensuring adherence to store policies.
- Assist in conducting product demonstrations to educate customers about new or featured items.
- Handle cash drawer balancing at the end of shifts with basic math skills and attention to detail.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or convenience stores.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math is highly desirable.
- Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail settings are a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are beneficial for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos will help you succeed in this role.
- Strong communication skills and friendly phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers professionally.
