Scholars of Houston is a fresh, new Mathnasium franchise serving the greater Houston area. Our vision is to bring quality math education to every child in our community—building confident students who understand the foundations of math, think critically, and solve problems with skill. We prepare students for the tests they'll face in high school and set them on a path toward the best educational opportunities in the world. We meet each child where they are and build a custom program to elevate their math skills over time.

As a Mathnasium Management Trainee, your learning will be hands-on. You'll take care of customers, connect with your community, live our values, and learn what goes into managing a successful learning center. Requirements:
Duties/Responsibilities:

Understand the company mission, our families needs and work in conjunction with the Center Director in creating a fun and positive learning environment

Conduct center tours and consultative sales presentations while building with parents Schedule assessments and effectively enroll students

Demonstrate good judgment in stressful situations
-
Act as Manager On Duty, open center as needed. Ability to close is a MUST!

Manage the center during instructional hours, including assigning students to instructors and adjusting student/instructor ratios as necessary

Ensure all instructors utilize the Mathnasium Method when teaching students
-
Review student needs and educational status with the Center Director on an ongoing basis

Provide feedback to the Center Director regarding Instructor performance

Participate in local marketing events
Required Skills/Abilities:

Must know math concepts through 12th grade

Excellent communication skills; ability to build and nurture strong relationships with families and staff

Providing solutions and overcoming conversational objectives

Demonstrate good judgment in stressful situations

Collaborate leadership; ability to train and engage staff as well as delegating responsibilities

Strong comprehension of Microsoft Office and Google Docs

High School diploma or G.E.D., some college preferred
This is a part time position. Lead Instructors typically work between 20 to 25 hours a week, based on center needs. Hours are generally afternoon and evenings Monday - Thursday from 1-8pm and Saturdays 10-2pm.
