Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, floral design, and gardening products
- Assist customers in selecting merchandise that meets their needs, offering product knowledge on horticulture supplies and outdoor equipment
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts processing
- Restock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise displays, and ensure proper merchandising to attract customer attention
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor display areas
- Support inventory management through stock checks, product labeling, and inventory tracking using retail math skills
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions in multiple languages if applicable and resolving issues promptly
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Prior experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or floral design is preferred but not required
- Basic proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Organizational skills to manage stocking duties and maintain an inviting store environment
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive energy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting merchandise or organizing displays
