Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of traditional pastries, including Burek, ensuring adherence to authentic recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and pastry tools efficiently and safely during high-volume production
- Package baked goods carefully to maintain freshness and quality for retail or catering purposes
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, incorporating creative touches to enhance visual appeal
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following food safety protocols and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist in food preparation tasks including dough kneading, filling, layering, and baking of pastry items
- Support food handling procedures that meet health regulations and ensure the safety of all products produced
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, pastry preparation, or bakery operations within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cake decorating, baking techniques, and pastry craftsmanship
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and ability to follow strict hygiene standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during fast-paced production cycles
- Excellent attention to detail for recipe adherence, portion control, and presentation quality
- Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and inventory management
- Customer service experience is a plus for engaging with clients or catering events effectively
- Previous experience with high-volume production environments preferred
- Familiarity with food handling regulations, catering processes, or restaurant operations is advantageous
