Sunrise Property Management Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced HOA Administrative Assistant / Community Association Assistant to join our team.
HOA EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Applicants without prior homeowners association (HOA) or community association management experience will not be considered.
Position Overview
This position is heavily focused on HOA violations, homeowner communication, customer service, and administrative support for our community association management team.
We are looking for someone who already understands the HOA environment and can confidently communicate with homeowners, Board members, vendors, and managers while maintaining professionalism—even when conversations are difficult.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process and track HOA violations from initial notice through resolution
- Prepare violation letters, courtesy notices, hearing notices, and follow-up correspondence
- Review violation photographs and inspection reports
- Maintain accurate violation histories and account notes
- Track compliance deadlines and follow up on unresolved violations
- Respond to homeowner phone calls and emails regarding violations, rules, parking, architectural matters, and general HOA questions
- Explain HOA procedures professionally without arguing with homeowners
- Escalate sensitive or disputed matters to the Community Manager
- Assist with homeowner hearings and violation documentation
- Maintain organized electronic records and correspondence
- Assist managers with day-to-day HOA administrative tasks
- Provide excellent customer service to homeowners and Board members
- Follow up on homeowner requests and ensure issues do not fall through the cracks
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Previous HOA / Community Association Management experience is required.
Candidates should already be familiar with:
- HOA violations and enforcement procedures
- CC&Rs and Rules & Regulations
- Homeowner correspondence
- Board and homeowner communications
- Violation hearings
- Architectural requests
- Parking and common-area rules
- HOA management software and homeowner account notes
- Working in a fast-paced community management environment
Property management experience involving only apartments, rentals, or commercial properties does not substitute for HOA experience.

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year HOA/community association management experience preferred
- Prior HOA administrative, assistant manager, compliance, or community management experience strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Experience with HOA management software preferred
- CINC Systems experience is a plus
- CCAM/CACM education or credentials are a plus, but not required
