The Town of Sunnyvale is seeking a qualified internal candidate to fill the position of Police Administrative Assistant. Join our Police Department team and provide essential administrative support that helps the department effectively serve the Sunnyvale community.
The Police Administrative Assistant performs various specialized administrative and clerical duties in support of the Police Department. This role involves managing records and reports, processing law enforcement documents, handling public inquiries, scheduling, and coordinating communication between officers, staff, and community. This position requires strict confidentiality, attention to detail and knowledge of departmental procedures. Duties may vary depending on division of assignment.
Hiring Pay Rate: $23.27 hourly
Full Pay Range: $23.27 - $31.48 hourly

Minimum Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
One (1) year of experience in an administrative, clerical, or office-based customer service role

Valid driver's license

Notary certification or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of hire

Must be able to pass Criminal Justice Information Security (CJIS) background and fingerprint check, and have the ability to comply with state and federal requirements for CJIS standards
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a municipal and/or public safety setting preferred
