Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our Team. The Maintenance Technician assists in the maintenance of the physical assets of the building by performing minor repairs in the areas of carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
Duties
- Obtains knowledge of building systems including power, water, and gas turn offs, cleanout traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants;
- Makes necessary repairs in the areas of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locks and other building maintenance in tenant’s apartments, mechanical rooms and public areas and records them in writing as indicated on through the work order system;
- Receives, stores, safeguards and properly uses needed equipment materials and supplies;
- Maintains all records and files in writing at the direction of the Superintendent;
- Keeps the workshop, utility rooms and additional work areas in clean, orderly and safe condition;
- Maintains knowledge of the company’s procedures as outlined in the employee manual;
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
