Lawn Care Technician
Two and a Half Men Lawn Care is looking for a dependable, hardworking Lawn Care Technician to join our crew.
We’re a family-owned lawn care company looking for someone who takes pride in a job well done, can work independently and as part of a team, and doesn’t mind putting in a full day outdoors.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a hands-on position, and you’ll be working out of a company truck each day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Mowing residential and commercial properties
- Trimming and edging
- Blowing off sidewalks, driveways, and other hard surfaces
- Driving a company truck between properties
- Pulling and backing lawn care trailers
- Loading, unloading, and caring for equipment
- Completing daily equipment checks
- Helping keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean and organized
- Working outdoors in heat, cold, and changing weather conditions
Schedule
We typically work a 4-day workweek, giving our crew a three-day weekend most weeks.
Because lawn care depends on the weather, there will be times when rain or other weather delays require us to adjust the schedule or work an additional day to stay caught up. Please be aware as this is seasonal work. After all fall services are finished hours are slow until we get snow!
Pay
$15.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and ability.
Applicants who currently hold an Indiana Category 3B pesticide applicator license may qualify for additional pay.
There are also opportunities to take on more responsibility and advance within the company as you gain experience and prove yourself.
What We're Looking For
- Previous mowing or lawn care experience
- Previous Snow removal experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable driving a truck and pulling a trailer
- Able to safely operate commercial lawn care equipment
- Dependable and able to show up on time
- Able to work outdoors and handle the physical demands of lawn care
- Takes pride in doing quality work
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Able to work well with a small crew
We are willing to train the right person on our equipment, procedures, and expectations, but previous mowing experience is required.
