Industrial Painter - Spray & Coatings Specialist | Hurricane, UT
Nexeo Staffing is actively hiring an Industrial Painter for a trusted steel fabrication company delivering high-quality structural solutions for major industrial and commercial projects nationwide. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter with hands-on experience in industrial coatings, spray application, and surface preparation. This role involves applying protective coatings to metal and structural components to ensure durability, quality, and long-lasting performance.
Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming for proper coating adhesion

Mix paints, primers, and coatings to required specifications and consistency

Apply coatings using pneumatic spray guns, airless sprayers, brushes, and rollers
-
Ensure even coverage, correct thickness, and high-quality finish
-
Perform touch-ups, rework, and repairs as needed

Maintain and clean painting equipment and spray systems
-
Follow all safety procedures when working with coatings and hazardous materials

Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Qualifications
-
2+ years of Industrial Painting experience (REQUIRED)

Experience with spray painting, airless systems, or coating application

Knowledge of auto painting, construction painting, or steel fabrication environments

Strong understanding of surface prep, paint mixing, and finishing techniques

Ability to use hand tools and painting equipment safely

Basic math skills for mixing ratios and measurements

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Preferred:
- Experience with epoxy, polyurethane, or industrial coatings

Familiarity with blast prep or metal fabrication environments

Ability to read work instructions or specs

Experience working in manufacturing or production settings
Pay
$20.00–$30.00 per hour DOE
Schedule
Full Time | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
