Come join our exciting and growing compounding team! We are looking for certified technicians with a positive attitude, excellent communication, and sterile AND non-sterile compounding skills. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare compounded medications while under the supervision of a lead technician and/or a licensed pharmacist.
- Collaborate with front team to prioritize orders and relay information to ensure optimal patient care.
- Understand and apply concepts in USP Chapters <795> <797> and <800>
- Ensure proper sanitation, washing, rinsing, and drying of labware and dishes used in lab.
- Adjust formulas as needed at the direction of a pharmacist.
- Demonstrate strong mathematical computation skills.
- Understanding pharmacy law as it pertains to certified technician duties and compounding law and assisting the pharmacists by practicing at the top of your license.
- Properly use compounding equipment and choose appropriate measuring devices based on the product itself and the quantity of APIs within the product.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Accurately mix pharmaceutical preparations according to written prescriptions in accordance with a <795> <797> and <800> environment
- Operate, monitor and maintain work area and compounding equipment in a sanitary fashion including but not limited to equipment such as the ointment mill, tube sealer, electronic mortar and pestle, hot plates, electric and analytical balance, encapsulator, sieves, and glassware
- Maintain documentation as required for all compounds in an organized fashion.
- Proactively record tasks in Pestle and champion compliance.
COMPETITIVE PAY:
Competitive pay based on experience, with a minimum starting rate of $24.00 per hour, plus a $3.00 per hour shift differential when working 2nd shift hours.
HOURS:
This position is scheduled for 2nd shift hours, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Please note that all new hires will complete an onboarding and training period of approximately two months on day shift. During training, the schedule will be either 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, depending on training needs.
Upon successful completion of training, employees will transition to their regular 2nd shift schedule of 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
A $3.00 per hour shift differential is provided for hours worked on 2nd shift. The shift differential will not begin until the employee has completed training and transitioned to their regular 2nd shift schedule.
