About this role:
The Mental Health Professional provides direct clinical services to persons served under the direction of clinical leadership. The role conducts mental health screenings and assessments, completes treatment plans, and delivers individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services. The position completes clinical documentation, supports pre-release planning for CalAIM-eligible individuals, and provides training, consultation, and information to facility staff as required.
Additional Details: Candidates should be comfortable with: crisis management, severe mental illness, brief, solution focused interventions, substance use and withdrawal awareness, boundary setting & manipulation awareness, interdisciplinary collaboration, and emotional resilience. In addition, we focus heavily on 5150/5250 mechanics, Title 15 & BSCC Standards, and CalAIM continuity of care. What you bring to the table:
Education

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other related mental health discipline
Experience
-
One (1) or more years of experience preferred.

Experience with substance use disorders and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred
Licenses/Certifications
-
Licensed or license-eligible in the State of practice – e.g. LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, Psychologist - Must maintain all licensures, certifications, continuing educational requirements, etc.
What you will do:
- Provide direct clinical, consultation, and counseling services in accordance with policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Conduct mental health screenings and assessments and complete treatment plans, including ASAM tools when needed.

Respond to sick call requests, referrals, and provide crisis intervention services.

Complete required clinical documentation and document services in CorEMR as appropriate.

Support pre-release planning, quality assurance activities, and provide training and consultation to staff.
