Title: Physical Therapy
Compensation: Starting @ $110.00/per visit
Job Summary:
- A registered professional who provides coordinated care to patients of all age groups. Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well-being. Plans, organizes, and conducts a physical therapy treatment program based on medical referral and evaluation. Participates in the coordination of care.
Responsibilities:
- Treat patients who have been injured with techniques such as ultrasound.
- Treat patients with techniques such as ultrasound.
- Perform exercises with patients to help them relearn how to walk, use their hands and other motor skills.
- Monitor patients for changes in status.
- Discuss treatment options and strategies with patients and their families and give advice on home programs to help maintain their health.
- Conduct research on the latest therapy treatments and share findings with other therapists.
- Create client treatment plans based on the patient's condition, goals, and home environment.
Environmental & Working Conditions:
- Works at patients’ homes in various conditions.
- Possible exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to travel locally, some exposure to unpleasant weather conditions.
Physical & Mental Effort:
- The ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing.
- Prolonged standing and walking required.
- Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to meet patient and family psychosocial needs.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
Licensure:
- Current State license as a physical therapist
- CPR or BLS Card
- Current Driver's license
- Auto Insurance
Other Requirements:
- Physical Exam or a written Health Clearance (latest)
- TB Test or Chest X-Ray (latest)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Card (optional)
Experience:
- One year of experience as a physical therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting or home health preferred.
Skills:
- Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills. Proof of current CPR certification. Knowledge of durable medical equipment.
Work hours:
- 8am to 5pm - Monday - Friday
- Weekends if necessary
