Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM; rotational weekend coverage (1:00 PM-5:00 PM)

Position Summary
ECMS Express is seeking a highly motivated Senior Import, Export & FBA Operations Specialist to manage international transportation, freight forwarding, and eCommerce logistics operations. This role is responsible for overseeing import and export shipments, coordinating air and ocean freight movements, supporting Amazon FBA and marketplace fulfillment programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the transportation lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in freight forwarding, international transportation, customs compliance, and cross-border eCommerce logistics. Experience supporting Amazon FBA, fulfillment operations, and high-volume transportation environments is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
International Freight Forwarding Operations
- Coordinate and manage international import and export shipments via air freight, ocean freight, and domestic transportation networks.
- Oversee FCL, LCL, air import, air export, and cross-border transportation activities.
- Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, and service disruptions.
- Coordinate shipment movement from origin through final delivery while maintaining operational visibility.
Amazon FBA & eCommerce Logistics
- Coordinate inbound transportation and inventory replenishment shipments to Amazon Fulfillment Centers.
- Ensure compliance with Amazon FBA routing, labeling, packaging, palletization, appointment scheduling, and shipment preparation requirements.
- Manage FBA shipment creation, routing coordination, and transportation planning with warehouses, carriers, and customers.
- Resolve receiving discrepancies, inventory shortages, delivery exceptions, and Amazon-related operational issues.
- Support marketplace logistics, multi-channel fulfillment (MCF), and direct-to-consumer distribution programs.
- Partner with fulfillment centers and warehouse teams to optimize inventory flow and transportation performance.
Customs & Regulatory Compliance
- Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and government agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support customs clearance activities and assist with examinations, shipment holds, and documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with CBP, TSA, FMC, and other transportation regulatory requirements.
- Support AMS, ISF, and other required import/export filings.
Documentation Management
Review, audit, and process transportation documentation including:
- Commercial Invoices
- Packing Lists
- Certificates of Origin
- Bills of Lading
- MAWB and HAWB
- AMS and ISF filings
- Customs documentation
- Shipping and transportation records
Carrier & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies, drayage providers, CFS facilities, rail operators, and warehouse partners.
- Assist with routing decisions, transportation planning, and cost-control initiatives.
- Monitor and minimize demurrage, detention, storage, and other accessorial charges.
- Maintain strong working relationships with domestic and international service providers.
Global Operations Coordination
- Collaborate with overseas offices, agents, and international partners regarding shipment status, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Communicate with customers and Asia-based teams to ensure service expectations are met.
- Provide shipment visibility, tracking updates, and operational support to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Support SOP development and process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor operational KPIs, service performance, transit times, and transportation costs.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 3+ years of freight forwarding, international logistics, NVOCC, 3PL, or transportation operations experience.
- Experience managing import operations, export operations, air freight, ocean freight, or multimodal transportation.
- Experience working within a freight forwarder, logistics provider, NVOCC, customs brokerage, or transportation environment.
- Experience handling international shipping documentation and transportation compliance requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Amazon FBA, Seller Central, Vendor Central, or marketplace logistics experience.
- Cross-border eCommerce and fulfillment operations experience.
- Experience supporting high-volume B2B and B2C distribution networks.
- Experience coordinating shipments destined for Amazon Fulfillment Centers.
- GoFreight, CargoWise, or comparable freight forwarding software experience.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of international transportation and freight forwarding operations.
- Knowledge of Incoterms 2020, AMS, ISF filings, customs clearance procedures, and freight documentation.
- Familiarity with HTS classification and customs compliance requirements preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
Language Skills
- English required.
- Professional Mandarin Chinese communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) strongly preferred.
