As a Specialist your day-to-day includes:
1. Facilitating meetings with consumers (any age, any type of disability) to learn about their needs & goals, then:
- Assisting individuals in connecting with community partners and resources.
- Helping consumers make a plan and learn new skills.
- Researching a process and working alongside the consumer to navigate it.
- Sharing about our services in a meeting or group.
2. Participating in trainings to build your skills in goal setting strategies, independent living philosophy, and knowledge of available resources.
3. Working a Monday-Friday schedule in an office environment, where we use a variety of computer programs and equipment to carry out our work.

- Creativity when problem solving and initiative to keep moving forward.
Education
High School Diploma/GED required and at least two years’ experience working with people in an office/service setting. Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass background checks.
