Job Title: LPN Supervisor - 2nd Shift
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate nursing care to residents throughout the night in both Assisted Living and Memory Care settings.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time, following physician orders and community policies.
- Monitor residents’ health status, including vital signs, behavior changes, and overall wellbeing — and respond promptly to any concerns.
- Offer reassurance and support to residents who may experience restlessness, confusion, or nighttime anxiety.
- Ensure documentation is thorough and accurate, keeping records up to date for smooth communication with day shift staff.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to maintain continuity of care.
- Assist caregivers and CNAs with resident care needs as necessary, fostering teamwork and a positive overnight environment.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, performing routine safety checks and responding to emergency calls.
- Oversee medication carts and supplies, ensuring proper storage, inventory, and organization for the next shift.
- Participate in handoffs and reports to ensure smooth transitions between night and day teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current LPN or RN license in the state of Kansas
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to work independently and make sound nursing judgments during overnight hours
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain professionalism at all hours
Preferred:
- Prior experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Memory Care settings
- Familiarity with electronic health records (PCC) systems
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care techniques
- Team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude — even on the night shift!
