International Intimates Inc. is a fashion brand based in New York, NY that is seeking an Intimate Apparel Assistant Technical Designer to join our team. This position will be based out of our New York, NY office.
Responsibilities:
- Supports technical design team in developing accurate tech packs.
- Familiar with Intimate products include women's bras, chemise, bodysuits, shapewear, etc.
- Help evaluate fit and construction during each state of the development cycle from concept to production.
- Measure all samples and enter to spec sheet prior fitting.
- Assist Technical Manager in live fittings. Take fit notes and photos of garment on model.
- Update fit notes and photos on tech pack to help faciliate fit comments.
- Knowledge of industry grade rule.
Skills:
- 2-3 years of design/ technical design experience in fashion or retail industry. Fashion design experience includes styling, sewing, cutting, patternmaking, knitting, etc.
- Sewing / pattern knowledge & understand garment constructions
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
- Team player. Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Blue Cherry PLM experience a plus. If not, will train.
