Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturing and Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire production process—from planning and scheduling to quality control—driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and product quality. Your leadership will ensure that our manufacturing systems operate seamlessly, supporting our commitment to craftsmanship, communication, and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of cabinet manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Manage production scheduling, workflow and resource allocation.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Oversee supply chain management and logistics coordination to ensure timely procurement of materials and delivery of finished products.
- Utilize manufacturing management systems for data analysis in Excel to monitor performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive process improvements.
- Foster cross-functional communication among design, engineering, assembly, quality control, and supply chain teams for cohesive operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through staff training in lean management techniques and process optimization strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production management within manufacturing environments, preferably in cabinetry or similar industries.
- Expertise in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems for inventory control and production planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams with effective team leadership skills and cross-functional communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and process tracking.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices, Six Sigma certifications preferred but not required.
- Experience with quality control standards, process improvement initiatives, and supply chain analytics.
- Ability to manage plant operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
