Ohio Home Group Care is seeking Female Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are dependable, professional, and passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role requires maturity, accountability, and a strong commitment to providing safe, respectful, and high‑quality care.
This is a zero-*tolerance, *professional position. Staff must arrive on time, follow all policies, and maintain a safe and respectful environment at all times.
Position Overview
DSPs provide hands‑on support, supervision, and daily care to individuals living in our homes. This position begins Immediately , and we are conducting interviews now.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide constant supervision—individuals may never be left unattended.
- Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and support mobility needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.
- Transport individuals to appointments, outings, and community activities.
- Complete all documentation accurately and before the end of each shift.
- Report incidents, safety concerns, or unusual behaviors immediately.
Strict Conduct Expectations
- Overnight sleep shifts available
- No drugs, alcohol, or marijuana on shift — zero tolerance
- Professional attire required
- No theft, verbal aggression, or rough handling — instant termination
- All individuals must be treated with dignity, respect, and patience
Requirements
- Female applicants only (per individual’s care needs)
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ year of DSP or professional caregiving experience preferred- STNA, CNA is a Plus!
- Must pass all background checks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical caregiving tasks
- Must complete all DSP trainings and required certifications before starting
