Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Analyst to join the Global Front Office Application Support team supporting a leading Asset Management organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of the BlackRock Aladdin platform, which supports portfolio management, order management, trade execution, trade booking, and post-trade operations.
The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of production support experience within investment management or capital markets, along with strong expertise in BlackRock Aladdin and a solid understanding of front-office investment workflows. This position requires close collaboration with portfolio managers, traders, operations teams, and technology groups in a fast-paced global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for BlackRock Aladdin and other front-office investment applications.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues impacting portfolio management, order management, trade execution, trade booking, settlements, and post-trade processing.
- Perform root cause analysis and work closely with business users, technology teams, and BlackRock support to resolve complex production incidents.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, issue investigation, and operational analysis.
- Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts to streamline operational processes, monitoring, and support activities.
- Support application deployments, production releases, change management, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in incident management and collaborate with global support teams to ensure high system availability and operational excellence.
- Maintain documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles to improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience providing application production support within Asset Management, Investment Management, or Capital Markets environments.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting the BlackRock Aladdin platform, particularly front-office modules.
- Solid understanding of the investment trade lifecycle, including portfolio management, order management, trade execution, trade booking, and post-trade operations.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot large datasets.
- Experience with Python scripting for automation, monitoring, and operational support.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience interacting directly with traders, portfolio managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, globally distributed support environment.
