Job Summary
We're looking to add a Prep Cook to our Pizza Knight team! In this role, you will be responsible for making pizzas, preparing ingredients, assisting with order assembly, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will contribute to delivering high-quality meals that delight our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
We are currently looking for a Prep Cook willing to work about 25-30 hours per week. Open availabilty (being flexible to work other shifts as needed) is encouraged. Cook wages start between $10 and $14 an hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and standards
- Assist in assembling orders, ensuring presentation and portion control meet quality expectations
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks such as slicing, preparing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or expired items
- Assisting with dishes or other cleaning tasks in downtime
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age to apply for Cook positions.
- Previous pizza experience, food handling and/or customer service preferred
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards and sanitation practices is essential
- Familiarity with food industry operations will support success in this role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration and learning
- Must be open to new ideas and positive changes that promote growth to the business
