Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized assistance with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and an understanding of the unique needs of individuals in various living situations, including home care, assisted living, and group homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s quality of life.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition.
- Medication reminder.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Engage clients in social activities that promote mental stimulation and well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly valued.
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status or behavior.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and strategies for engaging clients with cognitive impairments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
