Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for customers. Visit customers and jobs ensuring on time completion and customer satisfaction.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to customers.
Approve quotes, invoices, and service contracts.
Track profitability of service jobs and long-term maintenance agreements.
Support sales teams with technical input for bids and proposals.
Ensure all employees are scheduled for jobs, understanding staff capabilities and scheduling accordingly.
Ensure technicians follow proper diagnostic procedures and OEM specifications.
Provide training on safety, troubleshooting, and new technologies.
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance oversight.
Identify inefficiencies and lead optimization initiatives.
Some sales and customer relations duties – participate in weekly sales meeting
New Hire orientation – safety, duties, responsibilities & policies
Participate in Safety meetings and ensuring safety standards are upheld to the highest level company wide. Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
Required: CAT certified mechanic with specific experience on natural gas driven 3500 and 3600 series engines.
Preferred: Experience with ULB models motors would be an asset.
· Service and provide preventive and corrective field mechanical service on Centrifugal and Reciprocating compressors. Disassembles repairs and reassembles components and equipment to ensure proper alignment, balance and tolerances.
· Field maintenance tasks including equipment troubleshooting, installation/removal, repair
· Read and interpret mechanical drawings
· Inspecting equipment by checking bearing clearances rotor conditions, etc.
· Install, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair, and overhaul various types of compressors following manufacturer's instructions and/or company polices;
· Perform compressor repairs with disassembly (including mechanical seal removal)
Requirements
· Willingness to support policy of a drug-free work environment, pre-employment and ongoing random testing.
· Willingness to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs with or without accommodation
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED), minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of position-related education and experience required.
· Understands quality management system
· Demonstrated ability to read and understand mechanical drawings required.
· Demonstrated understanding of basic math skills required.
· Ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments required.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
· You must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States. And pass a DOT physical.
Physical Demands
· Must be able to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
· Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds occasionally.
· May be exposed to extreme temperatures.
· May require excessive travel, overtime and weekend work
