The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and speed in food preparation while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and teamwork. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Buck ’54 standards and recipes.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, labeling, and dating.

Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service.

Assist with prep work, including chopping, portioning, and batching as needed.

Communicate clearly and effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.

Ensure food leaves the kitchen in a timely manner and meets quality/appearance standards.

Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory.

Support the team during peak times and help where needed to keep service moving smoothly.

Follow opening, closing, and side-work procedures as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Chef.

Requirements:
- Line cook or kitchen experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person.

Spanish is not required for this position, but much of our kitchen team primarily speaks Spanish, so the ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.

Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
