Job Overview
The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, documentation, and staging of inbound and outbound merchandise. This role ensures that all products are properly checked against Purchase Orders, entered into the ERP system, and prepared for storage or outbound delivery. The position is essential to maintaining product integrity, supporting customer satisfaction, and upholding Weaver’s operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Inbound Shipment Management
- Receive incoming shipments from UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
- Confirm that the correct quantities and products have been received.
- Maintain an organized workflow for materials awaiting inspection and processing.
Product Inspection & Physical Receiving
- Carefully inspect incoming products and packaging for visible damage.
- Identify shortages, overages, incorrect items, and other discrepancies.
- Photograph and document damaged or questionable shipments when necessary.
- Handle high-value fixtures, hardware, plumbing products, and other specialty materials carefully to prevent damage.
- Escalate receiving issues promptly so they can be addressed with vendors or internal departments.
ERP & Receiving Accuracy
- Accurately record received materials in the company's ERP system.
- Match physical products to the correct purchase orders and customer orders.
- Ensure receiving information is entered completely and accurately.
- Assist in maintaining accurate product locations and warehouse records.
- Review receiving documentation to help identify errors before they affect customers or downstream operations.
Discrepancies, Damage & Returns
- Report shortages, damages, incorrect products, and other receiving discrepancies.
- Assist with gathering the documentation needed for vendor claims, RGAs, and replacement orders.
- Maintain damaged or disputed materials in clearly identified locations until the issue is resolved.
- Communicate receiving problems promptly to the appropriate team members.
Warehouse Organization & Staging
- Place received materials in the appropriate customer order or designated storage location.
- Keep products clearly labeled and organized so they can be located efficiently.
- Stage completed orders accurately for customer pickup or delivery.
- Assist with organizing oversized and special-handling products.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving and warehouse areas.
- Help minimize unnecessary movement or re-handling of high-value materials.
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate receiving issues clearly with Purchasing, Sales, Operations, and other team members.
- Help ensure that relevant departments are aware when important orders have arrived or when receiving problems may affect a customer.
- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery team members to support daily operational priorities.
- Maintain professional and responsive communication regarding the status of incoming and received materials.
Process & SOP Compliance
- Follow established receiving, inspection, storage, and warehouse procedures.
- Complete required receiving documentation and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Help identify recurring problems or opportunities to improve warehouse and receiving processes.
- Support inventory checks and warehouse organization projects as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in warehouse, receiving, or logistics (2+ years preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks as required.
- Basic ability to use computers and ERP systems.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.Preferred
- Experience with decorative plumbing, hardware, or luxury fixtures.
- Familiarity with receiving inventory in a ERP software.
- Experience with UPS WorldShip.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
