CRT Programs is seeking an experienced Assistant Program Director to join our leadership team in Sylmar, California. Join a growing behavioral health organization and help lead a 16-bed adult residential mental health program in Sylmar. Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day facility operations and program management
- Assist with staff supervision, coaching, onboarding, and training
- Help manage staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage
- Support compliance with California DSS, CCL, and applicable behavioral health regulations
- Assist with audits, inspections, documentation reviews, and quality assurance
- Provide leadership support during client, staffing, or operational challenges
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment
- Support relationships with referral sources, FSP providers, and community partners
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health, mental health, residential treatment, substance use treatment, or healthcare operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating daily operations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Must successfully complete Live Scan, DOJ/DHCS background clearance, reference checks, and required health screenings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a licensed adult residential behavioral health program
- Knowledge of California DSS/CCL regulations
- Experience with licensing visits, audits, inspections, or quality assurance
- Familiarity with Full-Service Partnership (FSP) programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Prior experience as a Program Coordinator, Lead Behavioral Health Technician, Assistant Program Director, or similar leadership role
Work Environment
This is an on-site position in Sylmar, California. The Assistant Program Director will work closely with program leadership, clinical staff, direct care staff, clients, families, and community partners. Participation in an on-call rotation may be required.
