Join our healthcare team as a Pharmacist. This position offers very flexible scheduling in a relaxed environment. This position also offers the opportunity to grow into a full time role. Pharmacists provide effective management and ensure that the standards for accuracy, productivity and customer relations are maintained. This position requires comprehensive knowledge and experience in pharmacy procedures. Candidate will verify prescriptions, oversee purchases and ensure dispensing and delivery of the correct prescription drugs and other products to patients in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities
-Ensures that the pharmacy complies with all state and federal laws, regulations and rules governing the practice of pharmacy
-Checking and evaluating written prescriptions, as well as recording and verifying patient information while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations
-Expedite the processing of prescriptions and perform electronic prescription verification in software(PioneerRx)
-Quality assurance of processes and workflow management to ensure financial profitability
-Providing exceptional customer service, both face to face and on the telephone
-Ensure that all pharmacy records and inventories are maintained in accordance with state and federal laws, regulations and rules
-Inventory management and proper storage of drugs to prevent loss and deterioration
-Answer questions and provide counseling to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, etc.
-Remain active and in good standing with all licensing requirements of the state board of pharmacy
-Complete continuing education as cited by the state board of pharmacy
Qualifications and Skills
-Valid certified pharmacy license in North Dakota
-2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
-Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Google Suite (Sheets, Docs)
-Document handling and management systems (e-fax, scanning, Acrobat)
-PioneerRx experience preferred but not required
-Patience and ability to manage stress
-Problem solving skills
-Possess strong mathematical skills
Minimum required qualications
-Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacist
-Active pharmacy license in North Dakota
-Not on the OIG/SAM excluded list
-Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
