Duties
- Provide expert legal advice across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and tribal law & regulations.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, wills, trusts, and other administrative paperwork with precision.
- Manage litigation processes from filing to resolution by coordinating with clients, witnesses, and court personnel.
- Negotiate settlements and legal agreements effectively to protect client interests while fostering positive relationships.
- Assist clients with immigration matters and landlord-tenant disputes by providing clear guidance on rights and obligations.
- Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Proven experience in law office settings with strong research skills using Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Extensive knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, and tribal regulations.
- Demonstrated ability in legal drafting, negotiation, litigation support, and courtroom procedures.
