**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor/Carpet Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on cleanliness. The role requires a steady paced labor minded individual as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our hospitality property, including performing a standard variety of janitorial tasks related to cleaning floors and carpets as well as cleaning/ maintaining the carpet machines and the tile floor machine that you will be using.
This is a part time job, working four (4 hour) shifts per week. Preferred schedule would be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 9am -1pm. Cleaning hotel room carpets and/or hotel hallway carpet. Your last shift would be 1 night time shift (Thursday night/ Friday night/ or Saturday night) 8pm- Midnight. For this last shift of the week you would be using a Trident T20 SC Pro floor machine to clean all tile floors. The sum of these four shifts is 16 hours total per week.
**Responsibilities:**
- As a Hilton Garden team member you’ll maintain close working relationships with all departments.
- You'll resolve any guest issues related to floor cleaning quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
- Flexible schedule a must. 3 morning shifts and 1 evening shift. The weekend nights are available for your 1 evening shift if you prefer and holidays if needed.
- Perform routine cleaning duties with a focus on using a motorized stand behind floor machine to clean tile floors and wood floors. We will train you to use our machine with specific products for the different flooring types. Cleaning/ draining the machine between floor types. This is only one night per week.
-Using a carpet shampoo and extractor machine to clean room carpets and hallway carpets. Cleaning out the machine at the end of your daily duties. We have two different size carpet cleaners. One is a "rug-doctor" style (Bissell BG10) machine for guest rooms and the other is a larger similar carpet machine (Karcher Admiral 8) for hotel hallway carpet.
-We may need some help to change a light bulb and/or unclog a guest toilet during the night shift.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas
- Ensure the safety and security of all properties
**Experience:**
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects/ moving restaurant tables and chairs to clean wood flooring in dining room and lounge area.
- Knowledge of standard cleaning products and equipment
- Ability to work in a customer service driven environment and adapt to changing priorities
