GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Manager, Payroll & HRIS is responsible for global ownership of HR systems and full accountability for payroll outcomes. This role establishes governance across HRIS and payroll operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability. The role separates payroll execution from ownership, retaining accountability for audit, validation, and outcomes while overseeing operational delivery through a Payroll Specialist. This position plays an integral role in maintaining the quality and consistency of HR services in alignment with Loram’s ICARE values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Strategic and Functional

Own global Dayforce system strategy, configuration, and performance.

Establish and enforce global HRIS governance, standards, and controls.

Lead HRIS roadmap and system enhancements in partnership with IT.

Ensure system design, data integrity, and reporting capability across regions.
Payroll Governance and Oversight

Maintain full accountability for payroll accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.

Oversee payroll execution delivered by Payroll Specialist.

Establish payroll controls, validation processes, and audit protocols.

Investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure corrective action.
Operations and Cross-Functional Partnership

Maintain capability to independently execute payroll and serve as backup.

Design and enforce standardized payroll and HRIS processes and documentation.

Partner with IT, Finance, and HR Operations on integrations and system alignment.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
-
Minimum 8 years of experience in HRIS and/or payroll roles with demonstrated accountability for payroll outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Deep expertise in payroll processes, controls, and compliance.

Experience with HRIS platforms; Dayforce strongly preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Ability to establish governance, structure, and operational discipline.

Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- 12+ years combination of education and experience in payroll, HRIS, systems governance, or related disciplines may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
Preferred Qualifications, Licenses/Certifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree in related field.
Experience:
- Experience in global HRIS or multi-country payroll environments.
Licenses/Certifications:
- CPP or equivalent certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience partnering with IT on system implementations or upgrades.

Prior experience in complex or global organizations.

Familiarity with enterprise HR systems and reporting tools.
