Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across residential, commercial, or hospitality environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and experience in various cleaning and housekeeping tasks. Prior experience in janitorial, hotel, or custodial services is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients and guests alike.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitizing
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, carpet cleaning, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless
- Ensure all sanitation standards are met by properly disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areas
- Assist with meal preparation or cooking as needed in some settings
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs professionally and courteously
- Manage housekeeping supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential cleaning, hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and floor polishing
- Skills in sanitation procedures and janitorial practices to maintain hygiene standards
- Ability to perform laundry duties efficiently and effectively
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Experience with housekeeper management or supervisory roles is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to schedules
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and moving throughout the workspace
- Prior experience in cooking or food preparation is considered an asset but not mandatory
