POSITION SUMMARY
The Electronic Monitoring (EM) Lead is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and operational support to the Regional Electronic Monitoring Department in Mississippi. This position ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality monitoring services, coordinates staff training and development, oversee inventory and equipment logistics, and serves as a liaison with supervision officers, courts, and other key stakeholders. The EM Lead operates under the supervision of the Field Service Manager and exercises independent judgment in decision-making within established company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead onboarding and training for new EM technicians; coordinate ongoing education and compliance refreshers for existing staff.
Monitor daily field and office operations to ensure quality standards, compliance with company policies, and contract requirements.
Provide responsive and professional customer service to participants, supervision officers, court officials, and other stakeholders.
Oversee and maintain adequate inventory levels across all assigned offices, ensuring timely procurement, distribution, and equipment returns.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each location and implement corrective actions or performance improvement plans when necessary.
Support and assist field staff with complex installations, troubleshooting, and escalated technical issues.
Perform daily duties and responsibilities of an EM Technician, including installations, deactivations, equipment maintenance, and documentation.
Support agency and client meetings, training, and events as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Electronic Monitoring Technician or equivalent field operations role.
Strong knowledge of electronic monitoring equipment, installation procedures, and troubleshooting methods.
Proven ability to train, mentor, and lead staff in a field service environment.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Proficiency with relevant software systems and electronic case management tools.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass required background checks and maintain eligibility to work with law enforcement and judicial agencies.
