The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance in guest rooms and public areas. You will serve as the final set of eyes before a guest enters their room, verifying that every detail meets our luxury brand standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and service areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and aesthetic standards.
- Staff Mentorship: Provide real-time feedback and training to room attendants and house persons.
- Maintenance Reporting: Identify and log any repairs or maintenance issues (leaking faucets, frayed carpets, lighting) to the Engineering department.
- Inventory Management: Monitor linen levels, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies to ensure teams are properly equipped.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols and chemical handling procedures are followed by the staff.
- Room Release: Promptly update room status in the Property Management System (PMS) to expedite the check-in process for guests.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years in hotel housekeeping, with prior supervisory or inspection experience preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot small inconsistencies, from a stray hair to a slightly crooked picture frame.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate with Front Desk and Engineering teams.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.
