Clinician I - Behavioral Health/SUD Counselor | Austin, TX | Full-Time | In Person

We’re expanding our clinical team and looking for a driven, skilled Clinician I (Non-Independently Licensed) to join us in Austin, TX.
This is an in-person role with real clinical depth. You’ll work under the guidance of a Clinical Supervisor, delivering individual and group therapy to clients navigating addiction and mental health challenges, bringing your full skill set to a team that genuinely values what you bring to the table.

What You’ll Do
Working under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, you’ll deliver therapeutic interventions to clients with behavioral health diagnoses, including mental health and addiction-related disorders, across a variety of settings as needed. As a core part of our multidisciplinary treatment team, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individual and group counseling services
- Conducting biopsychosocial assessments and diagnosing mental health and substance use disorders
- Developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Delivering trauma-informed, recovery-focused care
- Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment interventions as needed
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate seamless services
- Educating clients and families on addiction, relapse prevention, and mental health
- Participating actively in treatment team meetings and ongoing training
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Active Texas license in good standing: LPC-Associate, LMSW, LCDC, or equivalent
- Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field
- 1-2 years of experience in mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders preferred
- Experience working with individuals living with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities
- Experience working with diverse ethnic/racial populations and individuals from underserved communities
- Experience utilizing telehealth platforms for virtual sessions
- Solid knowledge of substance use and psychiatric conditions, treatments, and best practices
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and ability to manage a caseload independently
- Ability to become credentialed with payor sources
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Reliable personal transportation and a clean driving record
- Current and valid Texas driver’s license
