- We primarily teach Private (1 student) and Semi-private (2 students) lessons. The only group classes are Baby & Me Classes (4months–36 months) & Adult Classes (you choose whether to train for these).
- Most of our private students are between the ages of 4 and 15 and are learning basic skills and/or strokes. If you choose to take special training to teach 3-years-and-under, Baby & Me groups, Adults, Team swimmers, or Additional Needs students, you will receive a pay raise with each extra specialty.
- Lessons & Classes are catered to the individual, so you will truly get to know your students and see them progress under your instruction!
- The FSS office handles scheduling and payments.
- Instructors can work up to other positions such as: Senior Instructors and Coordinators.
About FSS Staff:
- We typically have around 30 staff, 24 being instructors.
- Instructor ages vary a lot! We have a few in high school, but the majority of instructors are out of college, including some who have retired from their career jobs.
- Our swim parents love the diversity of our staff.
Possible Hours:
- Between 5–35 hours available
- Weekday & Weekend hours available
- If you work in the office as well, full time is possible. Benefits kick in at 35 hours/week (accident insurance, stipend, etc.)
Applicants Must:
- Enjoy working with people of all ages
- Have a passion for swimming and being in the water
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months working specific shift(s) agreed upon at hire
Compensation:
Is based on Experience. Range $17.00–$24.00+ (or DOE)
Benefits kick in at 25 hours/week (50% off lessons, $125 stipend, accident policy, phone reimbursement, etc.)
