Job Title: Production Manager (1st, 2nd & 3rd shift openings)
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Salary: $75-85K
Job Summary of the Production Manager: The Production Manager will work within the manufacturing team to support the Director of Operations and Production Manager. Responsibilities include supervising staff, organizing workflow, quality inspection, safety coordination, material handling, and training in the designated area.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Production Manager:
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, monitoring schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results.
- Communicate job expectations to manufacturing staff, coach, counsel, and discipline employees, enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
- Select, orient, and train employees, develop personal growth opportunities for staff.
- Maintain workflow, monitor and control processing variables, implement cost reductions, and facilitate corrections when needed.
- Act as a quality inspector, ensure organization standards are met, and that all materials are available for production team members.
- Identify safety and health concerns, maintain a safe working environment, comply with regulations.
- Provide manufacturing information, analyze production performance records, and respond to requests.
- Contribute to the team effort and accomplish related results as needed.
Education & Experience of the Production Manager:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and generate results through others.
- Ability to perform problem analysis and resolution at a functional level.
- Commitment to quality and safety.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills with understanding of Microsoft products.
