Review project plans, specifications, bid instructions, addenda, RFIs, and related documents to fully understand project requirements and scope.

Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for all work within the company's scope.

Identify discrepancies, missing information, scope gaps, and potential risks; request clarification as needed.

Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to verify pricing, scope, and completeness.

Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project costs.

Identify value-engineering and alternative solutions to reduce project costs while meeting requirements.

Develop complete and professional proposals, including pricing, alternates, qualifications, forms, bonds, and supporting documentation.

Conduct thorough self-reviews of takeoffs, estimates, quotes, and proposals before final submission.

Manage multiple estimates simultaneously, prioritize workload, and consistently meet bid deadlines.

Revise estimates and proposals as needed based on project changes, client requests, or addenda.

Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the estimating process.

Follow up with clients after proposal submission to determine bid status, answer questions, and identify opportunities to secure work.

Utilize software such as PlanSwift, WinEst, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, and Word for estimating and documentation tasks.

Experience in construction estimating or a related field is highly preferred.
