?️ What You’ll Do
As Business Office Manager, you will oversee all business office operations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Your responsibilities include:
✔️ Financial & Operational Leadership
Manage Accounts Receivable/Payable, census, billing, payroll, petty cash, HR support, and trust accounts
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and sound accounting practices
Monitor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and collaborate with corporate teams to resolve past-due accounts
Oversee monthly financial close processes and required reporting
✔️ Admissions, Billing & Resident Support
Participate in Admissions and Medicare meetings, evaluating financial eligibility and coverage
Support residents and families with Medicaid applications, spend-down guidance, and documentation
Ensure accurate census reporting, billing, and ancillary charge submission
Counsel residents and responsible parties on financial matters with professionalism and empathy
✔️ Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise, train, and support business office staff
Build strong working relationships across all departments
Serve as Chairperson of the Safety Committee
Act as the primary contact for accounting, billing, and IT-related issues
✔️ Compliance & Quality
Uphold Residents’ Rights and promote positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and regulators
Adhere to Guardian Elder Care’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program
Participating in Quality Improvement initiatives, audits, and ongoing education
? What We’re Looking For
✔️ Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
Ability to meet health screening, background check, and drug screening requirements
✔️ Preferred Experience
Previous long-term care or healthcare business office experience
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and nursing facility billing processes
