Pay Rate: $142,000 - $271,000 per year (based on experience and location)
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to lead complex substation engineering projects, manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, and oversee project scope, budget, schedule, and design quality while partnering closely with clients and project managers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Substation Physical Design, Protection & Control (P&C), EPC/design services, and project engineering management, delivering high-quality solutions for investor-owned utility (IOU) clients across the United States.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Structural Engineering background may also be considered)
- Minimum 11+ years of related engineering experience
- Experience supporting large Investor-Owned Utility (IOU) projects within an engineering consulting environment
- Proven leadership managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and project execution
- Strong expertise in Substation Physical Design and Protection & Control (P&C)
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and engineering deliverables
Preferred Skills:
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (strongly preferred)
- Experience leading EPC or design services substation/switchyard projects
- Strong knowledge of relay protection, civil/structural design, substation equipment, and overall project lifecycle
- Advanced understanding of engineering design standards and industry best practices
- Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills
Pay: $200,000.00 - $270,000.00 per year
