The Opportunity
The Connect Church is looking for an emerging worship leader who is ready for real responsibility and wants to grow.
This is not an internship. You will step into a strong, diverse, functioning worship team and have the opportunity to lead, develop people, and take on increasing responsibility as you grow.
We are intwe need to entionally looking for someone who may not have years of experience yet, but has the character, musical foundation, leadership potential, and desire to eventually lead a worship ministry.
Our hope is to find someone who is looking for more than their next position. We want someone who wants a church they can grow with.
Character Comes First
Before we look at experience, we look at who you are.
Our Connect Leadership Profile describes five characteristics that matter deeply to us:
Jesus Centered
You love Jesus, His Church, and His people. Ministry flows from your relationship with Him.
Magnetic
People enjoy serving beside you. You bring a positive spirit, encourage others, celebrate wins, and take the mission seriously without taking yourself too seriously.
Ownership
You see it, own it, and finish it. You communicate clearly, follow through, and carry responsibility with excellence.
Maximizer
You build people, not platforms. You recognize gifts in others and enjoy helping people become better.
Relational
People feel known and valued around you. You build trust, protect unity, and genuinely care about people.
If those things don't describe you, this probably won't be the right environment for you. If they do, we want to talk.
What You'll Do
You will help prepare and coordinate our weekend worship experiences, lead rehearsals and services, organize set lists and transitions, communicate with the team, and collaborate with pastors, musicians, vocalists, and production volunteers.
Just as importantly, you'll help develop people. You'll recruit, equip, coach, and care for volunteers while helping musicians, vocalists, worship leaders, and emerging leaders grow spiritually, musically, and as leaders.
What We'll Help Develop in You
We don't expect you to walk in knowing everything.
We do expect you to want to grow.
You'll receive intentional development in team leadership, communication, service planning, organization, pastoral leadership, and ministry ownership.
You'll also be part of a culture where feedback is normal. We want someone who wants coaching, can receive feedback with humility, and wants to learn how to give helpful feedback to others.
Student Ministry
Worship is the primary focus of this position.
If you're also gifted in working with students and demonstrate the relational and pastoral capacity for it, there may be an opportunity to take on meaningful leadership within our Student Ministries as well.
What You Should Bring
You should have a growing relationship with Jesus, musical competence, the ability to lead worship, initiative, dependability, leadership potential, and a genuine love for people.
Experience with worship technology and tools such as Planning Center, ProPresenter, Ableton, or similar platforms is helpful, but we're more interested in your capacity and willingness to grow than checking every box.
Where This Can Go
We are not filling a temporary need.
We're looking for someone we can invest in, develop, and give increasing responsibility to over time.
For the right person, our hope is that this becomes a long-term ministry home and a pathway toward leading a thriving worship ministry at The Connect Church.
