The Infant Teacher will be responsible for providing a nurturing and safe setting for infants and toddlers. This position will develop and implement age-appropriate programs and activities, provide guidance to support the physical, mental, and emotional development of the children, and create a positive learning environment.
Infant Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide an environment that is safe, positive, nurturing, and respectful of the children
· Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
· Observe and assess the development of the children
· Develop and implement behavior management strategies
· Participate in parent-teacher conferences
· Maintain proper records, including documenting observations and milestones
· Ensure all safety regulations are followed
· Maintain a clean and organized classroom
· Model appropriate behaviors for children
· Work with a team of teachers to ensure a cohesive and quality learning environment
Infant Teacher Requirements and Qualifications
· TECE I & II or a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
· Knowledge of child development and curriculum development
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to sit on the floor when necessary
· Ability to engage with infants and monitor tummy time
· Must be able to pick up over 10 lbs
· Must read to the infants everyday
· Teach infants how to use their fine motor & Gross motor skills
· Able to develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
· Able to work collaboratively with a team
· Able to maintain records and documentation
· CPR and First-Aid certifications
· Previous experience working with infants or toddlers
· Must be willing to hold babies and help them soothe
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
