Project Manager (Fabrication & Construction)
Location: Pewaukee, WI
Schedule: Full-time | Exempt | Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay: $75K - $150K (lower range for assistant PM, higher range for Senior PM)
About the Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial fabrication and construction projects from kickoff through completion. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, customer relationships, and project teams while making sure projects stay on track and profitable.

What You'll Be Doing
- Manage multiple commercial fabrication and construction projects from planning through closeout.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
- Keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety expectations.
- Review drawings, contracts, specifications, and project scope before work begins.
- Coordinate purchasing, subcontractors, materials, and project scheduling.
- Manage RFIs, change orders, project documentation, and financial tracking.
- Forecast project costs, monitor profitability, and participate in WIP reviews.
- Mentor Assistant Project Managers and help develop best practices across the team.
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction, mechanical contracting, industrial fabrication, or a closely related industry.
- OR 10+ years of progressive trade experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and customer communication.
- Strong understanding of estimating, change orders, project documentation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (ERP/project software experience is a plus).
- Valid driver's license.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with fabrication or mechanical construction projects.
- Familiarity with Spectrum or similar construction management software.
