Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist with a minimum of two years of dental practice experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and office management, along with exceptional customer service skills. As a Dental Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, providing outstanding service to our patients while managing administrative tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments efficiently, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with insurance claims processing and dental billing.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Handle incoming calls on multi-line phone systems, addressing inquiries and directing calls appropriately with excellent phone etiquette.
- Conduct documentation reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy of patient files.
- Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate care plans and manage patient flow within the office.
- Provide administrative support by filing, managing dental records, and performing clerical duties as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Dental Receptionist.
- Proficiency in EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or other relevant software; familiarity with medical coding including CPT and ICD-10 is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and health information management practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated experience in dental billing, insurance verification, and patient service is highly desirable.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications; typing speed of 10 key typing is an asset.
