Position Overview:
Troy Clogg Landscape Associates is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to lead landscape construction crews in the field. The Foreman is responsible for managing daily operations on job sites, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, maintaining safety standards, and exceeding client expectations. This position plays a critical leadership role in delivering TCLA’s award-winning projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of 2–6 crew members in the installation of high-end landscape construction projects.
- Interpret blueprints, construction documents, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower to achieve daily and weekly production goals.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control and resolve any onsite issues promptly.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to crew members.
- Track labor and materials used on projects and complete necessary job documentation.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in landscape or hardscape construction, with at least 1 year in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong working knowledge of grading, drainage, retaining walls, pavers, natural stone, and landscape carpentry.
- Ability to read landscape/construction blueprints and perform layout and site measurements.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL a plus).
- Ability to operate construction equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and compactors.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Work Conditions:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Physically demanding; must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
