Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development.
- Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, play-based learning, and group projects.
- Support children’s individual needs through tailored child development instruction and early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior management logs, and standardized testing results.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare standards at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles, including toddler care and preschool teaching methodologies such as Montessori or other educational frameworks.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education tailored for young learners.
- Certification in first aid (CPR preferred)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrative staff.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare practices to ensure safety and compliance within the classroom environment.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
