Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee the parts department and employees and communicate goals effectively with the team
- Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the recon facility, body shop and mechanic shop
- Coaching your team to reach production goals
- Monitor and adjust Days’ Supply for critical and fast-moving parts’ categories and numbers
- Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing
- Partner and provide clear communication with other team members and departments involved in the vehicle reconditioning process
- Maintain a clean and productive work environment by keeping pars, cores and supplies organized throughout the parts department.
Qualifications and Requirements
- This position requires a minimum of 3 years Automotive Parts Management experience
- Must be able to manage and train in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be proficient in online ordering with an understanding of automotive mechanical repair
- Computer literacy with data entry
- Strong negotiating skills to close deals on parts purchasing
- Strong communication skills to engage with all departments at the recon center
- Must have a valid driver’s license
