Job Overview
Food service worker. Working Monday - Friday, approx. 3 hrs/day. Opportunity for additional work hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Serve food and beverages to students in a courteous, timely manner while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning work stations, utensils, and dining areas following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Handle manual tasks such as weighing ingredients, portioning food, and processing cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Assist with food safety management by adhering to proper food handling practices and monitoring storage conditions.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and proper cleaning protocols.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage in in-person interactions positively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Ability to lift weights safely during food handling tasks and stand for extended periods during shifts.
Pay: From $18.57 per hour
