We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our auto repair shop to new heights of excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Manage a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, and collision repairs.
- Utilize estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools to accurately assess vehicle issues and prepare detailed repair estimates.
- Drive sales through upselling additional services such as alignments or preventive maintenance while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Handle client communication effectively, explaining repairs clearly and building trust through exceptional customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies; coordinate with vendors for timely procurement.
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately during transactions.
- Promote a positive team environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto service management or dealership environments with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics and repair procedures across various systems such as transmissions, brakes, suspension, tire service, oil changes, air brakes, shocks & struts.
- Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
- Solid mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills.
- Background in automotive repair including collision repair and service writing practices.
- Familiarity with automotive systems like transmissions, oil change procedures, air brake systems, suspension components, tire services, shocks & struts repairs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients about technical issues in an understandable manner.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to drive as needed within the role.
- Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling additional services confidently.

Pay: $56,821.73 - $120,000.00 per year
