The Caves is hiring dependable, friendly Server/Baristas to join our team in Edgewater, NJ.
This is a hands-on position combining table service and café/barista responsibilities. Team members take care of guests, prepare specialty beverages, run food and drinks, and help maintain a clean, organized restaurant throughout the shift.
Previous serving or barista experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. We’re looking for people who are reliable, attentive, willing to learn, and take pride in doing their job well.
This is a non-tipped hourly position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS
- Manage tables and check on guests throughout their visit
- Prepare espresso drinks, lattes, teas, lemonades, smoothies, and specialty beverages
- Run food and beverages with attention to timing and presentation
- Make menu recommendations and help promote drinks and desserts
- Bus, clean, and reset tables as needed throughout service
- Keep the café, beverage station, dining room, and service areas clean and organized
- Restock cups, utensils, condiments, to-go supplies, and other service items
- Complete shared end-of-shift cleaning and closing responsibilities
- Work together with the team to leave the restaurant clean, stocked, and ready for the next service

- Reliable transportation to Edgewater, NJ
Pay & Growth
Starting pay is based on experience.
Raises are available based on performance, reliability, experience, and additional responsibilities. Experienced team members who become cross-trained across serving, barista, hosting, and kitchen operations may earn $18–$20 per hour depending on skill level and responsibilities.
