Quality Assurance is process oriented and focuses on defect prevention, while Quality Control is product oriented and focuses on defect identification The role of the QA/QC inspector is to ensure that all incoming and outgoing material is being checked for compliance to Customer and/or DASI standards. More specifically,

Quality Control Auditing of material passing through Inbound, Outbound & Re-stock departments.

Collect data for QA to use in training and performance evaluation of inspection staff.

Coach Inbound and/or Outbound inspection teams to recognize errors and areas for improvement.

Audit & Reconcile Shelf Life Controlled Inventory.

Investigation and Disposition of NCM (Nonconforming Material)

Scrap Control.
-
Control the segregation and proper disposal of material designated for scrap.

Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects (CPAR’s).

Our Quality Inspectors require 2 years’ experience with aviation parts and paperwork in a medium sized facility.
2 years’ experience with Quality Control, inspection techniques, document control, corrective and preventative actions, continuous improvement, risk management, supplier reviews preferred

While you won’t need to be a full on techie, knowledge of computer hardware and associated software (i.e. enterprise resource planning, logistics and supply chain, inventory management and MS Office is required.)

Previous interactions with LEAN or six sigma processes or other continuous improvement approaches are ideal.

You may need to adapt to multi- temperature work environments.

High School Graduate or GED- Required
- Minimum 3 years processing aviation surplus parts is required
- ISO and/or AS Quality Standard knowledge- a Plus
